Valencia
Valencia is located on the coast. On the
east of Spain.
It has a
population of over a million. It is an easy place to walk arround.
The city has one historical center that is worth visiting for tourists. There are narrow, streets that lead to the Cathedral.
There is a big growing industry of furniture, shoes, cement, and pottery. There are big shopping centers all arround the city, also cinemas, skating rinks, bowlings an music bars to entertaiment.
The people is friendly and plenty of energy. They live not only on the agriculture but also on the industry and fishing.
The city organises expositions of its different products like machinery, furniture, textiles and electronic equipment.
The average temperature during summer is
30ºC.
The typical food
is paella, a special dish made with rice, chicken, rabbit and beans.
There are restaurants at the beach where people enjoy different delicacies apart from the beautiful view of the sea.
Finally, it has the city of Arts and Science which is a complex of glass, metal and concrete building surrounded by reflecting pools. The river course has been turned into a series of playgrounds, gardens and sport grounds. There are 4 main parts: the oceanographic, the opera house, the museum and the round screen cinema.
